Venerable Konchog Ngedon (pronounced nea-dun) is the name given to him when he took joined our lineage. His legal name is David Stirba. He took the first part to ordination 2001. His preceptor was the Venerable Khenchen Konchog Gyaltsen Rinpoche. In 2004 in Nepal he took full-ordination (becoming a Monk) inside the Great Lotus Stupa. His preceptor at that time was His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche the Spiritual Leader of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage.
He is presently a resident of Frederick, Maryland and a member of the Tibetan Meditation Center (TMC), a Drikung Kagyu Buddhist Center. He has been part of many retreat practices and has helped in the construction of the TMC enlightenment Stupa and played a part in the building of a number of Sand Mandalas. Konchog Ngedon has also been the Umdze (chant leader) at TMC since his ordination and, currently, leads two separate classes in shamatha (calm abiding) meditation.
