At the conclusion of the intensive period of meditation, the mandala is destroyed-or "dissolved"- as the yogic practitioner brings their practice to a close and prepares to enter back into their ordinary routine of everyday life. This process of dissolution highlights one fo the principal tenets of the Buddha's teachings, which is the inborn impermanence of all that appears and exists in the phenomenal world. Once we let go of the habits of clinging to the phenomenal experiences and things of this world we are able to be more at peace and can more thoroughly appreciate the present moment.
